About Pine Bluff Animal Shelter

Pine Bluff Animal Shelter, also known as Claws and Paws Animal Shelter is an indoor shelter with two buildings. It houses 90 adult dogs and puppies and is full almost daily. Both buildings are equipped with heating for colder months and cooling for summer months. The newer building was constructed in 2016. It also has a puppy land which at times deals with an outbreak of parvovirus. The shelter has 5 full time employees and 2 part time employees on staff. The full time employees are the Director, 2 ACOs and 1 Administrative Assistant and 2 part time employees are weekend Kennel techs.

The shelter has a group of volunteers who ensure the dogs are walked weekly. They do heartworm testing, vaccinations, provide enrichment, socialization and exposure to the community which help towards making the dogs more adoptable.
